This newly constructed 4000sqft townhome in Cobble Hill combined the hip charm of Brooklyn with the modern conveniences a young family would want. With 3 active children, we sought to maximize livable space in this townhome. Examples such as transforming the dead space below a mezzanine level staircase into a fully upholstered and fun built in hang out, music jam area showcase ACD’s ability to think outside the box, quite literally. Space was also maximized through the incorporation of multiple built out window seats, bunk beds, and clever storage solutions. Being a very narrow and vertical space, the design team took appropriate measures with art, light fixtures, and cabinetry to embrace the vertical nature of the building while making sure proper visual proportions were maintained. The resulting fun, friendly space is now thoroughly enjoyed by our clients and their friends and family.
